school days


three weeks into school. my class is uber great! they are all soooo sweet this year. i feel super lucky.

it has been stressy teaching school and going to school again. i don't know why in the hell i decided to get my masters in 'gifted education' the idea is interesting. i didn't realize that most of the people in my classes would actually be gifted or were in the gifted programs in school when they were wee. it is so so annoying. many gifted adults are arrogant i mean it! they talk about their iq and skipping grades and i sit there feeling extremely dumb.

so along with the stress comes zits. and with that said here is a cute kid story.

my class was standing in line so very quiet and straight and good. i wanted to express how happy they were making me so i said, "wow first grade you are giving me goose bumps!...what a line!" and a little girl in my class said, "teacher, I can see one on your forehead."

BAH!
